Biddeford, ME—Sterling Rope Company, Inc. and professional climber Kevin Jorgeson have entered into a long-term partnership, where Sterling is Jorgeson's official rope sponsor. Jorgeson will use and endorse Sterling products as well as act as a Sterling athlete in the field.
Kevin is a world-renowned climber, most recently recognized for his free climb of the Dawn Wall in Yosemite back in January, 2015 with Tommy Caldwell. The Dawn Wall is considered one of the most difficult climbs in the world. Since then, Jorgeson has gone on to pursue climbing projects all over the globe. When not climbing, Kevin is active with The Boys and Girls Club, the refugee crisis in Greece as well as other international charities.
"I've been climbing on Sterling Ropes since I was 16 years old," says Jorgeson. "From competitions, to cleaning highball boulders, to the Dawn Wall, Sterling has always been there for me. I have a lot of exciting projects coming up, both on the rock and off, and I am excited to be able to use the broad range of Sterling's exceptional products to accomplish my goals. Jorgeson will play an active role in product development, promotion and marketing of all Sterling products. He will provide design consultation and assistance for Sterling product development.
