The biggest and most bodacious outdoor boulder series is back again – for the 7th time – beginning with Hound Ears in Boone, NC on October 3rd, followed by Horse Pens-40 in Steele, AL on November 7th, and concluding at the Stone Fort in Chattanooga, TN on December 5th. The Triple Crown is dedicated to maintaining climbing access by supporting the Southeastern Climbers’ Coalition and The Carolina Climbers’ Coalition.
The goal of the Triple Crown is twofold. First and foremost, the mission is to raise funds for two organizations dedicated to maintaining climbers’ access: the Southeastern Climbers’ Coalition and The Carolina Climbers’ Coalition. These two organizations have been instrumental in the acquisition of land for the climbing community, in a region that is riddled with access issues. Secondly, this unique event will once again provide a tremendous opportunity for vendors to promote the sport of bouldering, which has quickly become the focus of the ever growing climbing community.
The dates for each event are set for:
October 3 Hound Ears, NC
November 7 Horse Pens 40, AL
December 5 the Stone Fort (AKA Little Rock City), TN
You can register for the event as a series or for any of the individual comps. See the registration page for detailed information. Register as early as possible, space is limited and this event fills up FAST!

The Triple CrownThe Triple Crown consists of 3 events scheduled 1 month apart. Hound Ears (Boone, North Carolina), Horse Pens 40 (Steele, Alabama), and The Stone Fort, formerly known as Little Rock City (Chattanooga, Tennessee).Winners Winners are determined by highest scores. Each problem has a point value. You can do as many as you want, but your score is determined by adding the total of your 10 highest valued problems.
