Featherweight Dyneema webbing has profoundly lightened our climber loads, slimming down draw, sling, and pro weight and profile. The new BLUEWATER TITAN LOOP CHAIN ($24.99, bluewaterropes.com) brings Dyneema soundly into the aid realm, with a strong (18kN tensile strength on all seven pockets) but light-andslim workhorse daisy chain that occupies an energy bar’s worth of pack room. I tested mine on a free/aid excursion to equip a new route. The 13mm Titan Dyneema webbing, used in BlueWater’s CE/UIAAcertified runners, aced the four-hour session, and the red, pro-side top loop and easy-clip daisy points made length adjustability a snap.
