More than 400 youth and adult climbers competed in the USA Climbing 2005 National Championship at Metrorock in Everest, Mass., over the Fourth of July weekend, and the top four young Americans in each age category were named to the U.S. Youth Teams in lead climbing and speed. Team members in the three oldest age groups (14 to 19 years old) are eligible to compete at the World Youth Championship, Aug. 25-28 in Beijing, China, and team members also earned a free trip to the U.S. Team Training Camp in Atlanta, July 28-Aug. 1. 2005 U.S. Youth Team Lead Climbing Girls 11 and Under (Youth D) 1.
