Vinokur, Pringle in World Cup

Perennial contender Vadim Vinokur from New York and first-time World Cup competitor Ethan Pringle from California both made strong showings at the Marbella, Spain, stop on the circuit September 18-19. Vinokur finished 14th, his best placing this year, and he was in good company — he was tied with the great Italian Cristian Brenna and just ahead of Frenchman Sylvain Millet and Spaniard Ramón Julián Puigblanque, all prior World Cup podium finishers. Pringle, meanwhile, finished 23rd, a very respectable placing for his first international adult comp. Stephanie Outland, also competing in her first World Cup, placed 24th among the women. At the top of the leader board in Marbella were this year’s World Cup leaders: Tomás Mrázek of the Czech Republic for the men and Muriel Sarkany of Belgium for the women.
