Pringle - Pro Blog 12Over the past few years, I’ve grown to know the McCarran airport in Las Vegas quite well, but that doesn’t keep me from getting lost on the maze of roads on the way to the departure area, or being slightly freaked out at the automatic soap dispensers in the bathroom that squirt soap into your palm in a way that makes you want to retract your hand as fast as you can and wipe it off on the nearest surface.Pringle - Pro Blog 11Since I got back from Europe, aside from a couple short trips, I've mostly been hanging out in the city, surfing as much as I can, and climbing in the gym some. It was nice to see friends that I had been thinking about during my three-and-a-half month stay in Europe and spend time with my family.Pringle - Pro Blog 10After getting back from my short trip to Squamish, I tried to soak up every little bit of sunshine, salt water, and plastic pulling I could get my hands on before leaving for Europe. I packed my bags more than two hours before the departure of my plane this time, actually more than two days before, to reduce the stress of preparing for international travel.Pringle - Pro Blog 9When we finally arrived in Squamish after driving all day from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., we realized how wet it really was: saturated. The next day we walked around the soaked forest in the rain, reviewing all the problems on the tick list, until we came to Dream Catcher. It was sopping wet.Pringle - Pro Blog 8It's Carnival today in the Mission, which made it a major pain in the ass to get back from Natasha's hair appointment in the lower Haight, which I will refrain from mentioning the cost of. It was a birthday present for her anyway so, oh well.Pringle - Pro Blog 7Sup Everyone! Long time, no blog. I know, I know, I’ve been slacking. But I’m back! Finally back home, that is. Coming back home after almost two months on the road felt like it normally does, like I never left. Memories from the last two months are blurred together into one long day which begins with an oatmeal, peanut butter, maple syrup, and banana concoction, and it ends with an extra large bowl of Basmati rice ...Pringle - Pro Blog 6So our last climbing day in Hueco this season is over, and what a last day it was. One chapter of this road trip has ended and another is about to begin. Tomorrow we start the drive to Horseshoe Canyon Ranch to climb there and the surrounding areas for a couple of weeks, and then on to Utah.Pringle - Pro Blog 5Another hallmark holiday is here. All of these commercial, consumer holidays usually just make me want to puke. This weekend our good friends Cary and Damo flew Natasha and I down to southern California to climb in Joshua Tree. After filming us and other climbers, including Chris Lindner in J-Tree last year, they realized they needed more footage and interviews to fill in the blanks.Pringle - Pro Blog 4Well, I just got back from the beach in Pacifica, Linda Mar, after a couple hours of surfing (and getting pounded by outside sets) and feel wasted. The days I have been surfing in the last week have brought forth relatively good conditions, with waist to head high waves and an offshore breeze flowing almost all day.Pringle - Pro Blog 3Ah yes, back to my life on the rocks. The day before yesterday was my first full day of outside sport climbing in over three weeks. It's a good thing, too, because I was beginning to lose motivation after taking such a long break from real climbing. But after Saturday, I'm psyched again.Pringle - Pro Blog 2News flash! So do you remember that project in the Bardinis I talked about last time? The one I said was one of the tallest, hardest, most beautiful lines I have ever tried? Well it is.Pringle - Pro Blog 1Hello, to all of my loyal readers! ... Wait, I don’t have any! My name is Ethan, and I am the luckiest person on earth. I say this because I get to do what I love all the time, which is travel ...
