Khan decided to pursue adventure photography immediately after borrowing a friend’s copy of Galen Rowell’s Mountain Light decades ago. There was one speed bump, though: He was just about to graduate from dentistry school. Fast-forward 28 years, and Khan finds satisfaction in both of these divergent careers. Since adventure photography is a crowded marketplace, his goal has always been to create a unique style by bringing artificial light into the outdoor-sports environment. Living near London means the classic climbing areas across Europe and North Africa are within striking distance, and one of his favorite places to shoot is Morocco, for its inspiring people and places. Khan’s clients include international climbing magazines and The North Face, to name just a few.
