Eastern Sampler: Coopers Rock, McConnells Mill and the Red River Gorge

Photos by Jonathan Vickers - The West Virginia University Climbing Club, along with other local climbers, have been bouldering at Coopers Rock with increasing frequency in the last few years. Coopers Rock is characterized by an abundance of sandstone boulders that provide a variety of problems for any climber. Also shown are a few photos from McConnells Mill State Park in western Pennsylvania. For a change of pace and in pursuit of taller challenges, the club took a hiatus from boulders this year and took an extended trip to the world class sport craggin of the Red River Gorge, Kentucky.
