Checking in With Boulder Climbing Community Executive Director Kate Beezley

Kevin Riley hops on Skype for a video interview with Kate Beezley, the executive director of the Boulder Climbing Community (BCC). Beezley talks about how the local climbing community around Boulder has been affected, how climbers have responded to the coronavirus, and why community is so important in this time. Beezley also shares a brand new initiative from BCC, in which they’ll be partnering with film festivals to broadcast films digitally. First up is No Man’s Land Film Festival.

No Man’s Land Film Festival wrote: “Join us Friday, April 3rd to kick off Friday Film Festivals. This is just like joining us for a NMLFF event except—you get to do it from home! Bring your favorite snacks and beverages, fur babies to snuggle and get ready because for the first time ever, we are excited to announce No Man’s Land Film Festival online—that’s right, we’ve gone virtual. We are thrilled to partner with Boulder Climbing Community (BCC) with a shared common goal of building community, and we’re hoping that this will keep us all connected and inspired while social distancing from our homes.”
