An excerpt from A Fine Line (available on Vimeo On Demand). Watch Daniel Woods climbs James Litz’s Castle Rock, Idaho, testpiece Warpath (V14), just after completing the second ascent. Litz established the problem in 2007 and it didn’t see a repeat until Woods tried the line in 2011. He finished it in two days.

Filmmaker Andrew Kornylak writes:

One of the themes of the film is the unprecedented rise in bouldering standards in the last decade, which Peter Beal explores so eloquently here. Daniel, James Webb and Dave Graham are still going even stronger, still traveling around the world with the singular goal of finding marginally more difficult rocks to climb. A quixotic and beautiful quest in my opinion.
