On January 26, Drew Ruana completed Sleepwalker (V16), joining the ranks of a small, elite list of boulderers that climb the grade. And perhaps even more impressive, is how smooth he looks on the problem. On Instagram, Ruana wrote that he finished the line during his eighth session.
Jimmy Webb made the first ascent of Sleepwalker, which was discovered by Nalle Hukkataival and is located in Red Rock’s Black Velvet Canyon, on December 15, 2018, after 11 days of effort. He graded it V16/8C+. Daniel Woods completed the second ascent in January 2019, confirming the grade.
