Huge Rockfall Disk Flies Through Spantik Basecamp

As the cameraman says, “Holy shit.” Watch as a large disk of rock comes off the mountain and flies through Spantik basecamp, clipping a tent and barely missing a bystander. Spantik is a 7,000-meter peak in the Karakoram range of Pakistan. Wikipedia calls it “very popular with organized commercial expeditions, due to its relative ease of ascent and scarcity of objective dangers.” The video differs on that last point.
