Watch Stu Smith complete the first ascent of Pool of Death, located in the Fern Hill area of Squamish, Canada. Smith estimates the sport route goes at around 5.12c/d. He described the route on Instagram: “I think it just might be the best sport climb I’ve ever developed. The crazy location, insane gymnastic movement, and the rock texture make this thing an all-time classic. Multiple feet above head, burly throws, and a some solid jamming technique are all required.” Squamish Climbing Magazine has the approach beta.
