Most of us aren’t doing any climbing right now, so it’s a great time to live vicariously through the adventures of others. Filmmaker Ben Leonard writes, “On November 16, 2019, two Fort Collins climbers attempted one of the most well known link-ups in climbing: The Bridger Jacks link-up in Indian Creek, Utah. To summit the seven features they’d have to climb 17 pitches, with 17 rappels. With the specific routes they chose, it would be 13 pitches of 5.10, three pitches of 5.11, and one 5.12 pitch.” The objective is not a gimme for the climbers. Things don’t go as planned, and the team is tested both mentally and physically. It makes for a fun watch, and gets us excited for the times when we can spend our days chasing big goals in the mountains with friends again.
