Adam Ondra is on a 5.14d rampage, having sent four from May 4-10. Here, he makes the first ascent of Ira (5.14d) in Baltzola, Spain. The route was bolted by Patxi Usobiaga in 2007 and has been an open project since then. Be sure to check out the awesome rests at 3:00 and 6:35. Ondra's other sends include Il Domani (5.14d), his second onsight of the grade and the world's third, Psikoterapia (5.14d), and Ini Ameriketan, a previously established 5.14d for which Ondra suggested a 5.15a upgrade, despite finding easier beta.
This weekend, Ondra will take a break from sending every hard route in Spain to compete in the IFSC Boulder World Cup in Innsbruck, Austria.
