Watch Seb Bouin Take on the Unrepeatable 9a's

Seb Bouin visits the classic crag of Les Eaux Claires, on the west coast of France, to try Fred Rouhling’s iconic trio of 9a’s [5.14d]: Akira, Hugh, and De L’ Autre Côté du Ciel. While Bouin is a world class climber, with ascents up to 5.15b/c, this challenge is not a gimme. Akira had repelled climbers since Rouhling’s 1995 FA—including big names like Dani Andrada and JB Tribout.
