Water Pipe Bursts During Ouray Ice Fest

As reported by Outside Adventure Media, “During the 2016 Ouray Ice Festival, the three-foot diameter water ‘penstock’ that carries water along the top of the Uncompahgre Gorge burst. Parts of the lower gorge were evacuated due to the rising water, but the Mixed Ice Climbing Competition continued.”

Conrad Anker shared this video of the incident on his Instagram account.
