In this Weekend Whipper, Alex, belayed by Ben, is going through the motions of warming-up in Thakhek, Laos. He is on a 6a (5.10b) called Soft Cheese.
Everything is a-okay until a hold breaks, and Alex suddenly finds himself back at the base.
Oolmaiti Forston, who filmed and submitted the video, says that Alex is fine now and sending hard again, but that after the fall had “back pain for a month.” Ouch!
